The project

"The Defenders of Monuments" is a project by Diadrasis in collaboration with the Ephorate of Antiquities of Corinth, funded and implemented within the framework of the European Cultural Heritage Days joint action of the Council of Europe and the European Union. From September 2023 to March 2024, elementary, middle, and high school children will learn, through playing, about the effects of climate change on monuments and take action to protect them. 

Contents

Overall, this educational program is following the principles of non-formal education. Through experiential learning, play, and active participation, students will get to know key concepts such as monuments, climate change, and its impact on monuments. The main actions of this program include:

• Educational and motor games
• Theatrical games
• Brainstorming
• Artistic expression
• Voluntary actions to protect monuments
