The project

How many stories, traditions, and customs are hidden in the charming pathways of Ioulida (Chora) in Kea island? Would you like to discover them while playing? Diadrasis has designed a treasure hunt within the framework of CYCLADES TRAIL CUP
Solve the riddle, spot the point and reveal the unrevealed cultural heritage of the Island!

Contents

The aim of this educational game was to promote the cultural heritage of Ioulida (Chora, Kea Island). Along with local authorities and cultural associations, we designed a cultural route where participants could learn through playing the architectural, archeological, and intangible wealth of the region, getting to know local traditions and techniques.

Deliverables

Ioul..Eida has successfully come to an end! Diadrasis prepared everything needed for this vivid - interactive treasure hunt which is part of diadrasis' public awareness activities. We designed this treasure hunt along with the municipality of Kea in the frame of Cyclades Trail Cup. Our goal was kids and adults to get to know Keas's cultural wealth by wandering around in Chora. In each stop, an interactive activity was waiting for them! Participants learned by directly experiencing tangible and intangible assets of the island-like historical monuments, customs, historical photos of the Chora, culinary tradition, loom, architectural characteristics, etc... The treasure hunt lasted 1 and a half hour and ended at the historic municipality of Kea island where certificates and traditional narratives were waiting for them. We would like to thank everyone helped this treasure hunt to come true, the beautiful ladies from the municipality, Anna and Christina. Special thanks to Maria for her inspiring narration, Giannis, Mariana, Apostolis and Andreas. Last but not least we would like to thank our running team not only for taking part in the race but spreading the importance of unrevealed heritage out! Thank you devoted owls Alexandra, Evita, Vaggeli, Nancy, Sergio and Christina
