The project

"Gatzea I"  is a three-day educational seminar on dissemination techniques for heritage. It will be held in the local Olive Museum, which will be the case study as well.

The seminar focuses on the necessity of reconsidering and updating traditional dissemination methods  in the field of cultural heritage. Through this seminar participants are expected to gain skills in the planning of dissemination strategies based on theory and applied on a real case.

The seminar will deal with various themes: principles of dissemination, public awareness and engagement, marketing, publicity and social networks, new technologies et.al, opening a dialogue with other disciplines. All themes will be developed on the Museum in study, designing a methodology on how a dissemination strategy should be planned and applied.

Seminar programme

Day 1

Theory: Introduction; History of the area and of the Olive Museum; Principles of dissemination, public awareness and marketing.

Practice: Survey on locals and visitors for identifying strengths and weaknesses of our case study.

Day 2

Theory: Museum management over the years; Use of new technologies for marketing and dissemination; Dissemination strategies' case studies; Evaluation systems; Summary.

Practice: Teamwork proposing new dissemination strategies for the Olive Museum.

Day 3

Practice: Teamwork proposing new dissemination strategies for the Olive Museum.
