The project

"Ofeltis Untold Stories" is a holistic project proposal of the EHL-awarded Archaeological Site of Nemea Greece, aiming to promote the fundamental European values reflected in the site and the Nemean games. With the project, the local community and visitors will be interpreting the athletic heritage of Ancient Nemea, called so to critically consider equality, peaceful coexistence, and social inclusivity, crucial values for maintaining social cohesion throughout the times. 

Contents

To achieve this, a series of interrelated actions is proposed that aim at the extroversion, the promotion and the increase of the visitation of the space, through the strengthening of the relationship of the (space) with the local society and the international audience. For the practical application of the above, a series of educational programs, a digital game and the capacity building of the Museum staff is proposed. 

1. Educational programs for children

     • Creation of accompanying/assistant material for teachers in the area (Visit preparation - school)

     • Educational programs for primary school children (site visit - Museum and Archaeological site)

     • Educational programs for high school children (site visit - Museum and Archaeological Site)

2. Digital educational game of autonomous browsing and learning

     • prototyping - evaluation - testing

     • Translation of produced material into English

     • Transfer to a digital environment

3. Training of employees to support actions

     • Training of the employees of the Museum and the Archaeological site of Nemea for the support and promotion of the produced educational game (physical and digital) to more recipients.
