Contents

Mardin Pasaji main activities are:

  • On-site and bibliographic research
  • Interviews
  • Treasure hunting - teenagers' involvement
  • Workshop - seminar for local actors on promoting Mardins' cultural wealth

Details of the treasure hunting: “Mardin Pasaji” is a cultural educational activity for the teenagers living in Mardin, as for them to explore and learn through playing, their city’s cultural identity, and heritage. Throughout the preparatory research, held during the first study visit, youngsters’ lack of knowledge for Mardin’s history and heritage background was identified. The main goal of this project is to raise teenagers’ awareness of Mardin’s cultural uniqueness and wealth. The methodology to stimulate youngsters’ interest will be an interactive walking narrative tour (treasure hunt), following the principles of informal learning.

Details of the workshop: The scientific team of diadrasis and Peripatos will transfer their knowledge of how to utilize the cultural heritage by designing cultural routes in the city, to the local bodies of Mardin through a specially designed workshop.
